what a scrumptious breakfast surprise!! Your husband will love these treats, for sure (I hope, haha)!
YUM! Your treats always look so good! And I am in love with those cupcakes
I guess I have to make scones again, like, maybe today, lol. they look great!
Mmm, my husband likes scones too! I'll have to add this one to my list of varieties to try.
Is it safe to assume it is a 1/4 tsp. salt not 1/4 c. salt?
Haha. Yes. I guess that's what happens when I write and proof my recipe in the same go-round. Thanks for saving future bakers from that horrid mistake! :)
Mmm, I will be putting this on my "to-bake" list. I've never made scones, but strawberry scones are just calling out to me lately. Thanks!
Hey Katie! So I gotta ask, how crumbly are these?! They look great. Love the strawberry touch.
Not really crumbly. If you want a crumbly scone I'd recommend the orange currant scones I have on here. when you use fresh ingredients (rather than dried) you get a more biscuit-like scone. Dried ingredients help yiled a more buttery traditional scone consistency.
I just bought some strawberries today with plans to making some scones!!!!
Yours look great! As always!
I love scones, I have never tried making them but this makes me want to try!
Scones - dangerous weakness - and as luck would have it - I do have an abundance of strawberries in my fridge... Now I want these for breakfast, or now would work too.
wow i get busy for 4 days and i miss tons of yummy recipes! these look awesome!!! is that tray from pottery barn? i am thinking of registering for the emma collection!
These really look so so good. I wish I had some strawberries so I could make these for breakfast right now!
When you have the dough in the flat disk shape, about how thick should it be? (P.S. I love all your recipes-just made the strawberry hand pies yesterday and they are amazing!)
Aww, I'm so glad you liked them! As for the thickness, it honestly doesn't matter much..it just depends on the size you want the scones. Flatter and longer or thicker and shorter. That's all. Mine was maybe 1 1/2 in. but that's totally a guess.
Thanks for commenting on my blog! If you had a cookbook published I would buy it! (hint, hint)
I randomly found your blog a few weeks ago and put a lnik from my blog to yours...hope that's ok! :o)
I made these last night and they were wonderful! (I may have had two or three for dinner...oops!) :) Thanks for sharing the recipe.
I love strawberries and scones. These look incredible.
I love scones, but have never tried strawberries. Once they look better around here I'll have to try this recipe. Thanks for the idea!
oh katie you are my hero. I have tried and failed several times at making strawberry scones ( they came out way to mushy and not so attractive) So I was trilled when I saw these on your blog! They look so perfect and delicious. I am making these right now lol. Thanks!
Normally I'm not a big scone fan, but those look too good to pass up.
Mmm strawberry scones? Those sound delicious!
Those look delicious! I have a ton of strawberries I still need to get rid of so I can't wait to try this recipe out!
I just made these and they are truly fabulous! I even used 1/2 whole wheat pastry flour and they still taste amazing! I think this might be my favorite food blog :)
These look so good and I think they would be a great way to celebrate today. I linked to them on my post at Per Christum . Hope you don't mind. :)
I came across this blog post on a search for strawberry scones. I just made these, ate two and now am letting you know they turned out great! I followed the recipe to a t but I did paint the scones with egg before I sprinkled the sugar on the top.
I want to eat more! Can't wait until morning.
Do you think these freeze okay?
Just made these for a baby shower afternoon tea party and they were a huge hit! Perfect for spring. I displayed them on a pretty cake plate with fresh strawberries as garnish and they stole the show. Thanks for the fabulous recipe!
Those scones look absolutely delish, but before i make them, can i make them without the yogurt or is there an alternative?
